After several attempts over the last couple of weeks, I finally have my Toshiba L505 laptop running Snow Leopard.

Right now, it is running 10.6.3. I have not yet done the multi-beast or 10.6.8 update.

I have keyboard, trackpad (with working preference pane), sound and video. I can plug in a USB mouse and keyboard, but it will not see a thumb drive. And, of course, the infamous 1024x768 stretched across my 15" screen.

As soon as I "multi-beast" it, I will lose my sound, my video and my trackpad preference screen.

I have done over a dozen fresh installs and with each one, I have run through a plethora of multi-beast checkmark combos.

I cannot get my sound, video or trackpad preference screen back and I never did see a thumb drive pop up.

I tried Sierra and along with everything else, I lost all keyboard and trackpad functions to boot.

Basically, if I do not multi-beast my Toshiba, I am in decent shape.

Next stop is Lion.

Mobo: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Note: When specifying your bootloader, if using Clover legacy, please be sure to specify "Clover legacy"). Specifying "Clover" will be assumed as "Clover UEFI"

Sorry about that. I did not see the trees for the forest.

As soon as I find my original drive with Windoze on it.

In the mean time, I used multibeast for the autoboot option and only checked the bootloader. Well, that did not do any good for me. If I hit Easybeast, I lose my various functions. For now, I would like to autoboot, but not modify or add any kexts.

Is this possible?

No advice possible without hardware specifications.

If you try to use Multibeast, you have to go into the system definitions menu and select a MacBook System definition.
