I answer my own question. No. I guess this is only for HD4600.

any other ideas for a R9 280 AMD? El capitan worked flawless

The pieace of code you need to copy to your config.plist, under KextToPatch section if you using simple text editor:

Thanks so much for the info!
Safari (especially when on Twitter) would freeze constantly with multiple reboots per hour and now, after patching, I have not had one freeze in the last 48 hours and counting!

I had this problem with Safari that freezes on some web pages or while playing video on youtube after upgraded to 10.12 Sierra. I've updated to public 10.12.1 Public Beta 2, and it seemed it solved my problems. Today, I've updated to 10.12.1 Public Beta 3. Then I saw this thread and I tried the link at the begging, no freezes so far.

I've not tried the patch, yet, but I'll try it, if I have freezes.

For me working too! I have haswell NUC with HD4400 But this solution bring me a new problem: I have 4K Dell monitor and resolution HiDPI 1080p for 2560 x 1440 is after fix not present... Present is just HiDPI 720p. Any idea how to fix?

This would disable the sleep and should work.

Can anyone try this?

I would do it but: What then if Sierra doesn't start anymore? How could handle this?

Thanks booker2121, hemon and vit9696! booker2121's advice helped me bandage my issue until I had spare time to try the patch from vit9696 that hemon found.

On a side note: I almost gave up after using the patch and still having the freezing issues. But apparently rebooting my rig wasn't enough, the patch did not kick in until I completely shut down the computer and turned it on again.
