Follow the guide as if it is 8x0 G3 Skylake.
no , it is not. it is 1040 G3. with some problems after following 8x0, like shutdown does restart, graphics has highest resolution, audio works but wifi and bluetooth doesn't. (bcm94352Z) .... so not really 8x0 ... uploaded file again with new download from Clover. Maybe something went wrong ... and touch pad doesn't work .... ups just solved problem with wifi ...

Read post #1, "Problem Reporting".

Everything works except the built in trackpad?

Having an Issue on a HP 810 G2 elite book Revolve install.
  • intel Core i7 4600U (2.10 GHz)
  • 12 GB Memory
  • HD 4400
  • 256 ssd samsung pm871
  • 1366 x 768
  • DW1560
El Cap 10.11.6
Used the 8x0-G1-Haswell Install.

Everything works 100% except the built in trackpad?
I'm having to use a USB Mouse . Any Ideas ? I've posted my ioreg.

Thanks

Note: Not a big concern right now, but my touchscreen isn't working with the 8x0 usb, so there is a difference. When I drop out the 8x0 usb aml. Touchscreen works perfect. So I need to adjust that also.

Your ioreg shows trackpad is ALPS. This guide installs PS2 kexts for Synaptics. You will need to seek out an ALPS driver (try building from bpedman_merge at my github).

As for USB, read post #1, "USB customization".

Thanks again, I will get into it.

I reinstalled El Cap and followed this guide and everything works!!!! Thank you so much. I have a 840 G1 and i am just waiting for the broadcomm Wifi +BT adapter to arrive i bought off ebay. Hopefully my 840 G1 doesnt complain about a unsupported adapter. I read the card i ordered is natievly supported in osx.

Azurewave AW-CB160H , BCM94360HMB ,3T3R 802.11ac 1300Mbps WLAN +Bluetooth BT 4.0.. This is what i bought, i read in one of your guides its supported OOB.

one question, in OSX sometimes it goes to the login screen (when i boot the laptop up) and i start typing my password, and it reboots, sometimes in OSX it will shut off, and then power on and boot back up, any thoughts? Also, do i have to remove the kexts from the EFI/kexts/other folder since the installer script put them in S/L/E ? Attached is the zip file requested for problem reporting.

My bad. New .zip posted. is now 2.5MB instead of 20.

Read post #1, "Problem Reporting". If done correctly, the result will be much smaller than 21MB.

deleted old .zip file and posted new, MUCH smaller zip.
