USB 3.0 not working with El Capitan

Although I still can't quit booting from my USB Installer, but I just found another weird and funny thing.
I was disabled USB 3 support in BIOS, but it still show my USB Installer in boot menu.

And still can boot from it, even I can mount every USB 3 drive.
Speed? USB 3.

Then I opened the system information, of cause still no show.
And IOreg.app shows my USB 3 port are working, why?

I think I did have USB 3.0 support, but always plug them manually?

This thread seems to be what I need.

I have Gigabyte GA‑Z170X‑UD5 mobo with a Skylake build on it. El cap

Which drivers do I need to install to get the usb to properly work? Thanks in advanced.

I too am having these issues - usb 2 works fine but usb 3 not at all. Similar build to GustoGuud, Skylake i5 6600k and Gigabyte Z170 Gaming K3. El Capitan. Any help really appreciated!

I found the solution for me. Turns out I had to install the 100 series usb driver found in multibeast 8.2.3. I'm not sure if I'm getting usb3 speeds, but it is recognizing my external HDD when I plug it in using 3.0 usb wire and port.

Thanks for the reply! Really good news that you got yours working. Which USB driver did you use in multibeast? Think I've tried them already but maybe there's one that I missed.

I used the last one in the usb driver section. The one called increase max Port limit series. Check you BIOS if that doesn't work. Also, using fix usb ownership and inject in clover configuration helps

Ah, perfect, thank you! Works like a charm.

Sooo very awesome... It now appears that all my USB 3.0 ports on the UD5-TH are working great, so many thanks

I am running an X99 platform GA-X99-UD4 have tried installing the Kexts that has not worked, tried changing the DDST all that did was stop the USB ports from working altogether. Also tried the XOSI patch, Added the Change EHC1 and so on in clover still nothing. All ports show up as USB 2.0, have bought a USB3.0 PCI card in the meantime, Hopefully that will work, would appreciate any assistance on getting the onboard USB 3.0 ports working...

I hate to be the idiot here, but what do you mean by series 7/8/9 boards?
