Hey, just wondering what's involved in updating to uefi as far as clover is concerned? Will the existing legacy install still work, or are there changes needed? Thanks.

If you installed you legacy EFI folder into the EFI partition of a GUID drive, UEFI should recognize it and boot it without (much) issue. I say "much" because you'll likely need to make some adjustments to get EFI to boot properly such as having the proper UEFI drivers installed.

If your EFI folder is in your HFS+ formatted System drive, you'll need to make some changes such as converting MBR partitioning to GUID.

Probably the best way to work toward a UEFI conversion is to install Clover into a USB thumb drive formatted in FAT32 to test until you get the EFI folder working and then install it into the EFI partition (s1) of your System drive.

Hi guys,
my final solution for the GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 and the onboard Eltron EJ168A USB 3.0 problem:

Make sure you DO NOT have these kexts in your boot volumes Library/Extensions folder:
- FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext
- FakePCIID.kext
- GenericUSBXHCI.kext
If necessary, drag them to the trash by hand and delete and reboot.
(This also means NOT to install 3rd_Party_USB and 7/8/9 Support with Multibeast if it is your initial install.)

If you have PXHCD.kext installed and USB not working properly, delete PXHCD.kext and reboot.

If necessary, apply the following Clover Configurator ACPI settings:

I suffered a great deal for this, so I really hope it helps many of you... :D

Thanks Haus k...works perfectly now after one month looking for a solution!!!

Thank you! I removed this file from my S/L/E folder and now USB3 works on my GA-Z68XP-UD3 board running El Capitan.

I removed the "GenericUSBXHCI.kext" and rebooted, and was greeted with two "USB 3.0 Bus" entries in my System Information Report. Connecting devices also shows them in the System Information Report, though disks don't mount and my USB Audio Headset passes no audio either through the microphone or the headphones.

I am running El Cap 10.11.5 with the UEFI BIOS on my GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 board. I added Fix USB and Fix Darwin to my ACPI config post first reboot, but without change. Any ideas?

Those who made it, could youl please tell if you have BIOS or UEFI? I have UEFI and is not working.
