Created USB install drive with fresh El Capitan download, but still getting same result. Clover screen shows up. Timer counts down to boot to Macintosh HD. Timer reaches 0 and screen goes black. Pluses appear on screen and it just hangs there.

I made sure Inject Intel was false in the Graphics section.

This is particular Elite 8000 has an intel Q8400 ( Quad Core ). Are there any clover settings I would need change because of that?

Maybe its a Graphics problem. You may want to try different settings. This guide is intended for dedicated graphics. Have you updated the BIOS?

Clearly the USB drive with Enoch works as far as video is concerned. I'll have to see if I can replicate those gfx settings.

BIOS is the version listed in the guide. There is a newer version out, but I didn't want to deviate from the guide.

If Enoch is working for you maybe you could stay with Enoch until the problem your having is solved. Only thing is that if you want iMessage working etc I'm not sure if FileNVRam.kext and FileNVRAM.dylib is updated or not that's the thing. I'm currently using Clover I could post you my EFI if you like? So you can see if you can get it booted with Clover.

Great guide! I followed everything to the letter, but I cannot boot without the pen drive. Seems like I'm not the only one where my screen goes black like colomb. I have my graphics to inject nvidia. I have Nvidia GT610. Any suggestions?

Have you tried not injecting nvidia with Clover? i have seen some people having issues with that card in general.

I want to install El Capitan 10.11.4 on a HP 8100 elite with:

Core i7-870
8 GB RAM
gigabyte geforce 210 1GB

I used unibeast to create the bootable drive. It is a legacy install and I chose inject nvidia for my GPU. Did I do everything correctly or not.

Hard to say when you haven't tried booting. You may run into a problem with AppleHPET.kext. Give it ago and see how it goes. If you have problems with AppleHPET.kext then id recommend using Enoch as it'll be easier.

I will try and I will tell you everything that will happen.

Thanks a million Great Guide..
This was my 3rd Hackintosh.
I counted this computer twice because I first installed (ML) on A HP8000 that was A process.
I upgraded the bios to 1.14 and was not able to get to the installer. That Computer only good for windows now.
Using a different HP8000 with bios 1.07 I upgraded it to 1.13 to install El Capitan per this guide. So I suggest you don't update past bios 1.13..

I also used a MSI ATI HD 5450 not the (Sapphire) ATI Radeon HD 5450 and it worked fine. I had one.

The main reason I went with El Capitan is I wanted 5.1 surround sound it is not compatible with (ML) when using the Behring U-Control UCA202. I don't have a good Maverick installer but i had 10.11.3 so thats what I went with.

((The question))
I Have a tenda 311m usb wifi stick and I have see mixed things on getting it to work of should i buy the Tplink TL-wdn4800 pci card really don't want to spend if i don't have to and thoughts on getting it to work?

Thanks again

@slotcar If you are in the USA you can get the Rosewill version of the wifi adapter card
at a better price from Newegg.com. It's exactly the same as the TP-Link in the buyer's guide.
I didn't list it in my components list as it's not available at all in Europe and other places.
Works OOB with OS X no kexts are needed other than native ones by Apple. If you will use
wifi for internet most of the time, it's well worth the investment. Dongles are problematic
at best.
