Not sure why you are having this problem - what version of Clover are you trying to install?

Hi, thanks for the response. The version of Clover that I am using is rev 3320. As far as I can tell, that's the newest one.

I have this motherboard and an i7-920 and I plan to install el Capitan on my computer, first timer. Not sure what process I need to do for drivers/install properly. if I want unibeast, multibeast, clover, etc. I have access to a Windows PC and Mac. Here are my specs:

X58A-UD3R Gigabyte
i7-920
HD 5850 2x graphic cards

What works and what doesn't? I clearly can't make a bootable USB el capitan and just install it from scratch without anything special, what should I be downloading etc?

I have a Gigabyte X58-USB3 which is similar to your motherboard that doesn't have EFI BIOS. My system can boot up from Clover 3320 from internal hard drive, however I have to go to "options" -> "Graphics Injector menu -> and add "InjectNVidia", then go back to boot from "HFS", then I can boot to El Capitan.

I have configured the config.plist using the Clover Configurator, but I don't know where should I copy this file to since my motherboard is not EFI BIOS capable.

Really appreciate if you can give me some hints on what changes I need to make to boot the system up without manually inject the NVidia driver.

so I was able to successfully install OS X 10.11.4. But when my setup rebooted into the USB installer again after the installer app restarted the desktop, Clover cannot see the drive with OS X. any ideas on how to fix? thanks

That happened to me too. Make sure all of the SATA ports are configured as AHCI in the BIOS, that fixed it for me.

When you get booted into the OS and try to install Clover, please tell me how that goes. I can't get it to install.

I'm pretty sure all my SATA ports are AHCI since I have just updated the BIOS on the board and all settings were reset. I had to set them up again. BUT I will check again. Thanks

so I got past my initial problem!

but I'm sort of confused with the next one.

My motherboard uses legacy BIOS and as such, I have to partition my USB stick as MBR. During OS X installation, I formatted my SSD drive as GPT since that's the only option available.

I can boot to the SSD with the USB stick plugged in, but I have a feeling the SSD wouldn't be able to boot on its own even if I installed Clover on it because of the GPT partition. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thank you very much! :)
