I have the same motherboard, and have it now working pretty well thanks to some of the info in this thread. A couple of things that may help anyone else with the same board:

For the USB to work, all I did was to follow step number 2 from post #2 on the thread below, nothing else, and now it seems to work, full USB 3 speed on all relevant ports:

http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-desktop-support/179056-usb-fixes.html#post1152921

For the sound I just used Kext Beast to install this guy's kext (post #1) and now sound output from the green port works great, also after sleep:

http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/170063-fix-no-sound-after-sleep-1150-possibly-other-realteks.html

I also am dual booting windows 10, but from the same SSD. It took a while but I got it to work. For clover to pick up the windows 10 install you have to make sure windows is installed to a GPT/GUID partition. I followed this thread:

Hi, I'm pretty sure that not all your USB ports works as they should. Also If you connect USB 3.0 device and open System Report -> USB, you will see that it hooked to USB 2.0 bus (it still should work at 3.0 speeds). Maybe something changed, I should try on a fresh install.

I will do fresh install on this weekend, hope this audio kext will do the job, thanks.

Yes, it works at full speed. I will update the post later.

1. Open Clover Configurator (Mount EFI and open your config.plist)
2. Go to Kernel and Kext Patches
3. Add patch:

Name: AppleUSBXHCIPCI
Find: 83BD8CFEFFFF10
Replace: 83BD8CFEFFFF16

4. Install 2 attached kexts
5. Enjoy fully working USB ports :)

THANKS! I can confirm this is working on a ASUS Z97-C. I tried a lot of USB 3 fixes for El Capitan before (including those of RehabMan) and couldn't get it working. Your solution just works and is simple as that. Thank you for sharing!

By the way, I placed the two kexts in the kext 10.11 folder on my Clover EFI partition.

Thanks! Worked here in Z97X-UD5H after delete "USBInjectAll.kext". (Not all USB3 ports, but now I can work with one or two external HDD)

Ignoring two still not working USB3 ports, I think the last problem to solve with this machine is "Sleep". I don't understand why still not working.

All USB ports should work with this method. For sleep/wake try to add darkwake=10

Hi lewys,

What kind of monitor do you use? I'm into buying this motherboard as well with a gpu that can support displayport 1.2 so i can use a 27" 2560x1440 display. Any expirience with this?

How is your overall OSX expirience, is it anything like working on a dedicated Mac? Or even better? I'm used to a Mac at the moment but it's giving some problems lately so I'm looking into replacing the whole machine with a custom build to save some money :)

Hope you or anybody else can help.

I'm using a FullHD monitor, but will buy 4K soon. You shouldn't have any problem with monitor, there is a lot of people that using 4K monitors.

I should update the post, I've found solutions for all problems, and now I have 100% perfect working hackintosh.
