Maybe you can follow the Clover sticky guide here... treat it as if it is a 450 G1. That is a wild stab in the dark... It could be that the DSDT is significantly different and maybe different patches are required. But you could try it.

Expensive computer... more than a MacBook Air, similar specs, but probably without the build quality. Will be interesting.

Follow the guide then post troubleshooting files.... I may adjust PBI a bit to make it work perfectly.

Thank you RehabMan and nguyenmac.

I will try and post the updates.

Yes. I can almost get a 15" i7 quad core rmbp for the price. But, I got this thru work. :)

I figured you got it for work purposes. Because no one in their right mind would spend that much on that hardware. Except corporations.

At ~$1300 USD, it is still in MacBookAir price range, but without the quality and resale value of an Apple product.

But if you're into hacking it, it is more fun...

it was $530 at Ebay (no HP warranty) + ~$20 memory upgrade. Build quality is nice although.

Yes, used is different from new... (remember my comment about resale value?)

I have one question: can you send me please teh PN of your upgraded RAM? I have problem to find out, which of memory is compatible with HP Elitebook 1040 G1. Thanks
