Guide To Install Yosemite on HP Laptops with Clover UEFI

I've successfully restored my partition with disk utility but with same result as other methods (failure 301/smart not supported) :/

Some issue with that image (no idea what). Fresh install... restore data/settings manually.

Hello.

I updated Clover in past several times, without problems. Also DSDT repatch works great. But now I stuck with missing sound (Icon is OK, I can change volume but nothing can be heard) and very slow WLAN after upgrading vom 6.3.X to 6.4.0.1.

I allready followed guide (fix permission, reboot without cache, rebuild kext, reboot 2x). In past for upgrades within 6.3.X this helped, but not now.

Can someone help me. Attached the troubleshooting files?

HW Monitor is also not working since I switched from 6.3 to 6.4. But I read something that HW Monitor extensions have been removed, so that should be the reason, right?

Btw. is it OK that I have all kexts stores in EFI CLover folder also directly in /S/L/E? At least they are nw/updated :)

Download patchmatic: https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-maciasl-patchmatic/downloads/RehabMan-patchmatic-2015-0107.zip
Extract the 'patchmatic' binary from the ZIP. Copy it to /usr/bin, such that you have the binary at /usr/bin/patchmatic.

In terminal,
Code:
if [ -d ~/Downloads/RehabMan ]; then rm -R ~/Downloads/RehabMan; fi
mkdir ~/Downloads/RehabMan
cd ~/Downloads/RehabMan
patchmatic -extract

Note: It is easier if you use copy/paste instead of typing the commands manually.

Post contents of Downloads/RehabMan directory (as ZIP).

Also, post ioreg: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html. Please, use the IORegistryExplorer v2.1 attached to the post! DO NOT reply with an ioreg from any other version of IORegistryExplorer.app.

And output from:
Code:
kextstat|grep -y acpiplat
kextstat|grep -y appleintelcpu
kextstat|grep -y applelpc

Also, post EFI/Clover folder.

Hello Rehabman.

Great support here. I am allways impressed.

As I decided anyway to make a fresh install due to a Internet Stick software which was not able to unninstall. After fresh installation, rebuild kext, reboot 2x all is fine. Sound and Wifi working like charme :)

Only question which is open: Is HW monitor really "disabled"? Or do I just have to install the monitoring pluggins manually (will have to search for a manual).

Many thanks.
Yours Simon

Ok so to add on to the update problem, every time I restart to install the update (ThunderBolt 1.2), the computer can't find the boot device for some reason. Regular restart and everything works fine, but just for this update, it messes up. I updated to 10.11.1 successfully with rebooting and everything was fine, but for this particular update, the restart fails. I have attached a screenshot of what I get when I restart:

Hide the update. Don't apply it.

The issue you have with booting is canceled by *Exit* at the diagnostic menu. Then you're back in Clover. Ignore it.

Ok I will ignore the update. It's just a bit annoying. One other thing:

My laptop currently is Macbook Air in Clover's SMBIOS, but in many other places its a Macbook Pro (BT, Name, Terminal, etc.). Can I change my Clover SMBIOS to a Macbook Pro? My computer has a Intel i7 3687u with Intel HD4000. Will this mess up my CPU stuff and etc.?

Thanks

Check in SysPrefs->Sharing.

Sorry for the dummy question :)

I will install all the FakeSMC_(Sensors).kext and my current in user FaceSMC.kext stays the old one?
Just placing them into Clover folder and use kext injection would not work?

Thanks.

Good afternoon all,

Firstly can i say thank you for such a precise guide, as a noob I have managed to get to a significant stage without having to ask any questions.

Unfortunately I am now stuck and having tried a number of times must admit defeat and ask for assistance. I have managed to install OS X to my HDD and can boot into OS X with the assistance of the USB stick to access the PBI, I have set the settings for my laptop, resolution etc and the PBI installer completes. I then reboot the laptop and clover screen appears, I select boot from my HDD and the apple logo and load bar appears. The load bar gets about a third of the way through and then black screens. I still see activity from the USB and HDD for a further 20-30 seconds and then nothing it just stays on a black screen.

Im sure you are going to tell me i have missed something but I don't know what as I have tried to follow the guide to the letter?

My laptop is a HP 6570b, I5 ivybridge 3230m 2.6Ghz. 17AB motherboard.

I have attached troubleshooting file and would be grateful of your assistance.

Thanks Rob.
