Guide To Install Yosemite on HP Laptops with Clover UEFI

Hi, i've just upgraded my SSD and got S.M.A.R.T issues while using "Migration assistant app" & "SuperDuper!

Symptoms : "Imminent Failure 301" (bios) + "smart not supported" (system report)

After a fresh install everything is working well, no more 301 (bios) and smart = verified (system report)

1st try : i've used SuperDuper! with the new ssd in an external dock
2nd try : migration at startup (welcome) after fresh install from the old ssd in ext dock
3rd try : migration assistant app from TimeMachine (NAS)

Did someone knows how to fix this ? 0o
And thanks for your work !

(HP Elitebook 850 G1 - i5-4200U / Clover / 10.10.5 / Hackintosh user since 2010)

You write:
After a fresh install everything is working well, no more 301 (bios) and smart = verified (system report)

...which implies the issue is fixed.

But then...

Did someone knows how to fix this ? 0o

Which implies it is not.

Please clarify.

"Imminent failure 301" and smart "status not supported" issues happened just after restoring via Migration assistant app / or after cloning the drive with SuperDuper!

I just want to restore my apps documents and setting properly.

(sorry for my poor english :/ )

Migration Assistant is a bad idea. Move your files manually.

Clearly, you have something wrong in your old setup.

OK so everything is so far except the point stick thing isn't working. I dont really need it though so thats fine. I have another question about the wifi. I ordered a bcm 43224 because it is relatively cheap. I also realized that my seperate bluetooth module is on the same chip as the wifi i will remove. I have a usb BT dongle that works natively but my question is that will this cause any problems? Ive heard about problems occuring from BT dongles.

Thanks

Consider a BCM94352HMB instead.

Success with migration assistant depends on how clean the system was that you're migrating from.

Former ssd works great, I've never had problems with : /
I still use it while waiting to migrate my files properly.

I definitely don't understand what is happening

Note that you can clone partitions from one device to another using Disk Utility.

No need for 3rd party software.
