Update cold boot to windows then to os x works aswell

You need only...

WiFi:
- 5Ghz patch
- FakePCIID.kext/FakePCIID_BCM*.kext

Bluetooth:
- Handoff patch
- BrcmPatchRAM.kext.

BTFirmwareUploader.kext is known to be buggy. It is also not open source, so it is likely to stay that way.

Hi RM,

Thanks for the advice but no dice ... still no 5Ghz WiFi after sleep ?

I ditched all my old WiFi & BT kexts from /S/L/E and removed the existing clover patches, installed above kext's with appropriate Clover patches.

The only 5Ghz patch that works for me is DarkVoids ...all the others don't work at all, however as my previous post - 5Ghz WiFi works fine until first sleep after which i loose 5Ghz and the system falls back to my 2.4Ghz network.

BT & 2.4 Ghz WiFi ... are all working fine ...

As you can see from above images after sleep country falls back to XT on wakeup, and I loose 5Ghz Channels .... got any idea's ?

I was not suffering this issue before updating to 10.10.3, has anybody else seen this issue ?
Have also tried Darkwake=0 and Darkwake=8 but makes no difference.

Cheers
Jay

@JayMonkey,

I will verify if there is some issue with the patch not being functional after returning from sleep.
There could be...

I don't understand the question. Which version of the firmware is being loaded by Windows and BrcmPatchRAM, respectively?

I just tested and like Rehabman my 5ghz stays intact across sleep / wakeup.

@the-darkvoid,

Nope .... only works for me until first sleep, after which country reverts back to XT ... and i loose all upper channels ...

However this behaviour seems to be related to 10.10.3 rather than your patch, i was using a different method to active both wifi and bluetooth prior to moving over to RehabMans suggestion and the behaviour was the same.

Prior to 10.10.3 update 5Ghz worked fine sleep/wake/speed .. etc all ok, this is the first time i've experienced issue with 5Ghz (once patch applied) ....

As the issue has remained despite changing everything it seems to me that for some reason either the card or the wifi stack are being reset to its default state after a sleep/wake. ...

Do you use Darkwake ?, if so what value ?, will continue to investigate ..... seems this issue also occurs on real Mac's :-

Are you unloading the WiFi kext across sleep (with something like SleepWatcher)?

If the kext was unloaded and reloaded upon wake, that would explain the behavior you're seeing (Clover patches only work on kexts/cache that Clover loads).

Maybe you need to rebuild cache...
