HP Probook Installer Clover Edition

Not that file, you need to use Clover Configurator to mount EFI partition, open /EFI/Clover/config.plist and edit that file. Set Trust to true as Rehabman suggested.

Did that in Clover Configurator with TextEdit, restarted it but still the 1333 reading remains.

I didn't know where to address this, maybe anyone could help. It's an issue I couldn't find on the forum. A keyboard that works well on PCs and almost well on Macs. Did that keyboard setup assistant test. In the keyboard viewer all the keys work, except these
both shift keys
both alt keys
windows key
right control key
left control key acts like a shift key

Usually, any PC keyboard works well on Macs except that command option switch that can be solved

Thank you

You should never edit a plist with TextEdit. Especially if you don't know what you're doing...

Post the resulting config.plist.

What kind of keyboard is it? You can change modifier keys in SysPrefs->Keyboard.

Not all PC keyboard work with OS X.

Here's what I've changed. In TextEdit I edited config.plist

This bit

<key>Trust</key>
<false/>

into this

<key>Trust</key>
<true/>

and saved

As for the keyboard, I had to give it back. Sorry I can't remember the manufacturer. It's not that the keys I mentioned trigger some other Mac keys in other places and have to remap them, it's that those keys don't trigger any keys at all.

No idea without seeing the config.plist.

Then I guess not an issue... a problem with hardware you don't have is not a problem, is it?

I was intending to buy that model (it's well built and designed, mid priced, less that issue). Any $10 model can do PC and Mac too. Don't know why it's so difficult for the more expensive types

Looks ok to me.

Some talk about the XMPDetection setting.

Mine is

<key>XMPDetection</key>
<string>Yes</string>

I understand there's also a *true* value setting for that but it's beyond me

<true/> and <string>Yes</string> are the same thing. Try with <string>No</string> or <false/>.

Use a plist editor.

Got a free plist editor, Pref Setter. Edits are easy but still, no right ram reading. Could it be the former TextEdit edit though it looks clean?
