USB 3.0 Freeze in Yosemite

No, there is freezing with both USB 3.0 and 2.0 drives in both USB 3.0 and 2.0 connection ports.

You want to try Clover then, although you do say you have been tinkering with other kexts and replacing them.

What does system report say for USB ?

Also, what is shown in your system logs about it ?

These are the USB details from the system report

And regarding the system log, i haven't been able to figure out what parts are relevant, e.g. the part right before "bootlog: Boot_Time" for every freeze restart is different, and there doesn't seem to be a pattern.

You could try and filter on the keyword 'kernel' in your system log and see what that brings up...

There is more than just this in your logs. That screenshot is not much use. Filter on the 'kernel' keyword then attach the entire results as a pdf.

Sorry i didn't know that ... I changed the screenshot to a PDF of the kernel keyword entries...
