Optimized AppleHDA for Realtek ALC 898 on Lion - New

If we have problem with this mobo/ALC, probably people using Linux have the same.
I went in their forums to check. They have the same orange/black problem. under unbuntu it is referenced as bug #1016911 for UD5H and #996245 for WB version. Unfortunatly, they are not solved yet.
I checked also for documentation. I found the technical data for ALC898, I don't know if it might help.

Headphones - None //I plugged my front jacks back in to test but I can't be sure about this one since my jack is half broken so it could be the jack itself.
Line Out - orange
Line Out - black
Digital Out - None

Thanks for running the tests. I'm out of ideas. No sound green ports appears to be isolated to the GA-Z77X-UD5H. An inquiry to Gigabyte may be appropriate.

Using an injected hdef with audio id 898 gives me no sound. Outputs and inputs show up under sound preferences. I get sound assertions in AppleHDAController, AppleHDAEngine, and IOHDAStream listed in the kernel log.

Using the old Interim 898 method, I had sound working. Any idea why that works but this new solution doesn't?

I have attached my IOReg when using the new solution.

First time this has been mentioned. Let's see if this is similar to the green port problem or specific to your system.

Hi,
I have an Asus Z9PE-D8 WS Mobo with 898, and I am experiencing a rather odd problem... I have audio output, however at times the sound becomes unresponsive and cuts out, system preferences freezes, and even the built in outputs under the system pref pane disappear. I installed both the Patched 898 HDA and the Non DSDT enabler (the asus Z9PE-D8 doesn't have a DSDT yet =/) via multi beast 4.6.1. And I DO repair permissions upon installation. I have tried on multiple occasions and have had no luck. Can someone please help? These audio problems are really starting to be troublesome for my workflow as it is mainly based in Final Cut Pro which freezes when the audio cuts out.

Hi all,
I'm having difficult times using this schematic way to put the surround 5.1 (AC3 pass-throuth) to work in iTunes. Just to clarify i'm using the optical output and XBMC works flawlessly. The surround track in itunes is greyed out.
I'm already using the Mountain Lion GM.
I know this is a lion method but it worked with ML as well just with this issue.

No output from green (rear), only black.
