This build is based on my current workstation build: http://www.tonymacx86.com/user-buil...ing-i3-4330-16gb-hyperx-geforce-gtx750ti.html. So they share some components. But this build is done for a friend of mine with a much smaller budget, so some expensive components are removed ore replaced from the list. (SSD, GFX, PSU, Case etc.)

So this build uses the integrated HD4600 in the CPU.

Build Tricks
This build don't uses the fan of the CPU cooler. Instead, the SilentWing 2 is mounted at the backside of the case in a 'sucking' configuration. So at all there are only two very silent fans in the system. The 120mm Case fan and the fan of the PSU.

Installation
UEFI BIOS: Just switch of VT-d. (OC -> CPU Features -> Intel Virtualization Technology -> Disable)
In the HardwareMonitor Section you will find the fan controls.

Installing OS X:
-Build the installation USB Drive with UniBeast. Select UEFI bootloader while doing this.
-Boot into clover
-Install OS X
-Download MultiBeast (easy LAN is just running at this point...)
--Install Clover to the SSD
--Install the ALC1150 Sound Driver
--Select iMac 14.2 as your System-Definition
-Update El Capitan to the current version

Summary

I would say, this is one of the easiest installations ever!

What doesn't work is the sound after going to sleep. I had this with my own system with the same board too. If I find any workaround, I will let you know!

As graphics card this build uses the HD4600. With this you are just fine with screens resolutions up to WQHD.
You also can activate UHD/4K for the HD4600. But even for 2D applications I strongly recommend to use a dedicated GPU for this, due the experience under 4K with the HD4600 war very poor. (Bad performance, not smooth...)

Another nice build

Perhaps you could try CodecCommander.kext to see if that cures sound after sleep. Unlike earlier versions the latest doesn't need any editing of plists. It worked for me.

I agree with your cooling set up. My own i3 only had two fans - the Zalman 120mm CPU cooler and the BeQuiet SilentWings 120mm in the front of the case. The CPU cooler is in direct line with the fan-grill on the back of the case (no fan there) so air comes in the front of the case, goes over the SSD and hard-drive, then through the centre of the case via the CPU cooler and out the back. The PSU fan is in the bottom of the case and its airflow does not have much effect on the case, it just flows into the PSU through a grill in the floor of the case and out via the vent at the back.

Temperatures this way are still cool without a GPU, just using the HD4600. With the GT740 in place the CPU is under less strain so actually runs cooler (less than 29-degrees most of the time), but this adds an extra fan! To be fair the Gigabyte fan is very quiet.

For normal HD use the HD4600 graphics seem fairly good but I would wonder what they would make of 4K!

Thanks for sharing! :)

Thank's allot for the clue with this kext! I will try it over the next days!

I actually enabled 4K/60Hz on the HD4600 following this guide:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/...0-2160-seiki-39-4k-display-7.html#post1169659

It kind of works. But animations, videos etc. are not very smooth. So I don't recommend to use the HD4600 with OS X for 4K.

It seem's to be a apple driver issue or something like this. With Ubuntu 15.10 the HD4600 performed great with 4K.

You can't, they only work with OS X. Why would you want to use Windows ?
If you have no Mac or CustoMac to make your Unibeast drive, buy the Snow
Leopard disk and install that first. You will use iBoot Haswell to do the install.
