Just got my first hack up and running. Had some issues with internet with macpro 3,1 def so I changed to imac 13,1. On both profiles the computer would boot. I would see the boot loader screen, then the grey apple boot screen. Then my display would go blank. After several reboots/bios changes I came to find out the the display just needed to be power cycled or pull the cable out and plug back in. Then the screen works fine. So basically I need to power cycle the monitor every time I start the machine up.

Anyone else experiencing the same problems?

I've tried both ports and both behave the same

I've tried bot enable and disable wake on TB in the bios

I'm stumped.

Thanks in advance

Issue solved!!

I did some playing around and changed GraphicsEnabler=no in the boot.plist. When I rebooted I noticed that the graphics were at a low res however the monitor booted right up as it should. So I got to thinking that maybe it dosent like the low res to hi res switch. I changed that plist back and added this:

<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>2560x1440x32</string>

Now I get the boot loader in hi res (although it takes a bit longer to count down), the grey apple boot screen in high res and then right into desktop.
