Z77X UD5H motherboard replacement question (SOLVED) !!

hi guys,

I built my hackintosh a few months back and all was running rock solid until I got unlucky and my motherboard died (z77x ud5h). I am getting a replacement board (same as before) today.

Just wanted to know whether I would have to do a clean install? I have 2ssd's running mac 10.8.3 and windows 7 respectively.

I do remember all the bios settings - but would it boot up without issues? Or would I have to manually do something to make my old install work? Just confused since I had a dual boot setup? What would be the best way to get my old install running? and is it advisable?

Any advice would be useful
:?: :D

Thought I'll reply to my own question since it may be helpful for someone else.

I simply changed all the bios settings to what they were before (before plugging in my hard drives on first boot) - using this guide posted for Gigabyte socket 1155 motherboards.

Didn't have to change anything else, and once I reconnected all my drives the machine booted straight into my dual boot setup.

I am pretty sure this would also apply to any other motherboard replacement - so long as the board is same.

:)

My setup:
GA Z77X UD5H
i7 3770k
AKASA CPU COOLER
EVGA GTX 770 SC
32 GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE
FIREWIRE 800 CARD
750W DARK POWER PRO PSU
2 X CORSAIR 480GB SSD'S
2 X 3TB SEAGATE HDD'S
