Z68X-UD3H-B3 I7 2600K Help please

I can only boot SL with my iBoot CD, I've tried updating Chimera and running MultiBeast a few times and I am still unable to boot without the CD. From reading other threads I think my problem is that I need a video card. Also I am getting no sound from my HDMI connection, I get some scratchy sound from my audio ports onboard, should I get a sound card as well or did I just install the wrong drivers?

not sure but I dont think that you can get any sound via your hdmi connection it need s to be via your sound ports
