z68ma-d2h-b3 and hd3000 error

Thanks, will try again tonight. Just to confirm, there were two separately named files in /Extra:
DSDT.aml (this was edited for HDMI, the file I attached earlier but modified with the x85 x01 layout)
DSDT-old.aml (prior working version)

After the KP I booted with dsdt=DSDT-old.aml to get the system back, I didn't have much time to troubleshoot last night so if nothing stands out as odd in the edited DSDT I'll work on it more tonight to see if I can solve on my own.

Thanks for your continued help on this!

Toleda - The system loaded properly, did some cleanup of other kexts based on other posts, and I've tested that audio is working over HDMI (headphones plugged into monitor)! Thank you very much, I've learned a lot from the exercise and really appreciate your patience and support!

One question, and I don't know how major. When I go into IOReg, there are two Codec List entries under AppleHDA Controller, however both are zero. Attached a screen shot of IOReg along with screenshot of the working HDMI sound output.

Thanks again!

Haven't seen that before. No idea what causes that problem.

hi guys sorry for posting in this old thread but I have exactly same HW and SW as the OP and hope you guys can help.

so I am on z68ma-d2h-b3 (F9 bios) + integrated HD3000 connected to a samsung TV (T22C300) via HDMI

I installed the applehda.kext posted by kre728 in first page and his DSDT.aml (after changing layout id to 0x85, 0x01, 0x00, 0x00 with DSDTSE).

pc boots up correctly, I don't see applehda related errors in verbose mode, and I have sound options in preferences and hdmi info in mac info, see attached, but I can not select HDMI as output, so I can't listen the audio on the TV :(

please see screenshots!

can you please let me know what's wrong? :( maybe my TV is not compatible? If so, please let me know asap so I can bring it back where I bought it..

thanks a lot in advance guys!

Bad idea. The Audio IDs are different in Mountain Lion; nothing will work. See Mountain Lion HDMI Audio - Award DSDT

thanks for the answer toleda, but I don't have mountain lion, I'm still on lion 10.7.3! that's the same sw version the OP had so I think his files should be good..

I also have same codeclists as the OP had (0 and 0)..

thanks a lot again

EDIT: I got it to work!!!! i just changed the system definitions to mac mini 5.1 (i had Mac book pro 8.1) and after reboot i have hdmi fully working!! wooowwwww thankksssss
