z68-ud3h-b3 HD3000 over DVI - no graphics acceleration

I installed Mavericks fresh, used Multibeast (screenshot of the config is attached), and I've just noticed that iPhoto/iMovie won't work.

I tried changing the system definition to a couple of other types, currently I'm a macbook pro 8.1 , but still I can't get it to work.

any ideas how I can fix it ?

I've tried mac mini 5.1, plus a few other definitions, and I've also set the graphics memory down lower to 480mb, though the system report puts it back as being at 512mb.
Any advice on what to do ? iPohot and iMovie just won't work.
