Hi guys

i have everything already up and running with clover.. i am using a sandy bridge i5 2500k processor with a sabertooth z77 motherboard and a 1 tera byte HD and a GT 640 nvidia card...

however i have problems with shutting down my system... the system will shut down, however when i reboot i have the "You shut your computer down because of a problem" window that always pops up...

there was a post on insanelymac saying that i should tick the inject Nvdia box in clover configurator, however when i do this, i get the blank black screen after booting....

what could this problem be??

hope any of you can help... will trouble shoot iMessage after.

Few weeks ago I did a clean install of Yosemite on my hackintosh build. Everything is working fine except I get a message ''You shutdown your computer because of a problem..." on every system reboot. Below is the kernel panic log. I do not quite understand the issue, apparently it's something with the nvidia graphics kext. Any help to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated. FYI, I am using Clover bootloader.

I've just got same issue here.
Did you figure out why this happen?

Same thing happened to me today. Upgraded to 10.10.5 and this seems to be the only issue (using Clover.) Does anybody know what happened? What information do you need?

The computer is usable and just fine other than this, but I'm worried it might be an indicator of something that will eventually bite me.

I had the same problem. I had to reinstall yosemite after I realize I'm not ready for El Capitan.
Anyway, after installing the 10.10.5 combo update I get that same error and it won't shut down.

I installed the Nvidia web drivers and uncheck the nvda_drv=1 in clover config. All is fine now. Not sure if you need to do both or just really the nvda_drv=1, but in any case, its all fine now

Hope that helps

I spoke too soon. after shutting down and rebooting a few times, the issue came back

After checking, something is causing the EFI partition to become corrupt. I booted into Recovery HD and used Disk Utility to do a repair and it was fine. After a few rounds of shut down and reboot, I find that the error comes back and again I see that the EFI partition needs to be repaired.

What can cause EFI partition to go bad? can Clover be causing this? or SSD going bad?

[edit] been working on this and reinstalling 10.10.5 several times. It seems that it has to do something with UEFI booting and clover. I have two UEFI showing up for boot device - A> UEFI-my-SSD and B>UEFI Mac OS , both are the same hard drive. The last install attempt, I cleared CMOS and set SSD back to factory clean. Seems like it's working now
