Yosemite on HP Z800 dual Xeon workstation "Still waiting for root device"

Hello guys,

i try to install 10.10 onto my Z800 workstation. Installation of the USB Stick (64GB) works fine. But the post installation doesnt work.

"Still waiting for root device"

I truied different USB slots and different bootflags. No fix.

Any idea?

I'm hitting the same issue on my dual xeon workstation for el capitan (still unresolved), here is the thread:

I get to the install - Delete AppleHPET.kext in S/L/E on the USB installer Stick and insert "AHCIPortInjector.kext".

After the install you need to delete AppleHPET.kext again on the HDD and insert AHCIPortInjector.kext again.

My system is booting into OSX Yosemite, but it is very buggy. Open finder -> crash, open Safari, waiting, crash. Any idea? I think there is a problem with the Grafic and/or the filesystem... loading files from HDD bug?

The performance is really bad... not fix. Noone got an idea what to try?
