I struggled forever until I forgot to select "3rd Party SATA" in MultiBeast. Without it, everything worked fine except USB3. I got rid of it too since whenever I stuck anything into a USB3 port, my system would freeze.

I'm DTST-free. Here is my MultiBeast config that works for me.

Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > Optional HDAEnabler > Audio ID: 1

Suggest you start from scratch unless you comfortable hunting down and removing the 3rd Party Sata driver. I noticed that if you create a new MB config and load it, that doesn't remove any Kexts you may have loaded before.... have to go manually look for and remove them, etc.

Have you tried USB 3.0 kext from MultiBeast??

Yes - the USB 3 kext is what would make the system freeze if I stuck anything into the USB 3 ports. USB 2 ports work fine with or without that kext.

So after removing the kext you are not able to use USB3.0 port. Right??

Try this : https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-generic-usb3/downloads/RehabMan-Generic-USB3-2014-1016.zip

Before trying the kext, you cross check the BIOS settings with below,

1. Enable USB Legacy Support
2. Set xHCI mode as AUTO (Not SMART Auto)
3. Set xHCI Hand-Off as Enabled
4. Enable the EHCI Hand-off
