Yosemite on Acer Aspire 5740g

Have you try installing and full working yosemite on Acer Aspire 5740g ??
if yes can you help me. It is my first hackintosh installation.

GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 (512 MB)

Every thing works except sleep and Battery indicator.

I followed the TonyMacx86 guide on Yosemite install by Usb. Used Multibeast to install Audio VoodooHDAv0.2.56 - sound output set to internal speakers. Installed (1st Gen) Intel HD Graphics Kexts 10.10.

The Atheros Wifi and Broadcom Ethernet were found by the Yosemite installer.

Not sure about ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 kext for the graphics. My laptop has the Intel HD GPU which recently received a kext.

The discrete graphics capability in a switched dual-GPU configuration is not supported with OS X on hacks. Best you can do is disable the discrete part with SSDT/DSDT patches.

It looks like the GPU ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 is unsupported by Yosemite. Maybe you can use the Intel HD Graphics built into the Intel Core i3 330M?

"But wait, what if your computer has a dedicated graphics GPU such as NVIDIA or ATI? Here are the choices you can do if you have either of these:
ATI:
1) Disable your ATI GPU from BIOS and enable the Intel® HD Graphics IGPU."


If changing to Intel HD Graphics is an option in the Bios it might be possible to install Yosemite OSX on your laptop.

If you have only the Radeon, prepare to do your research on how to make it work with OS X....

Worked perfect with Yosemite.
El Capitan 10.11.6 works perfect but can I update to Sierra ?
