I am upgrading from Mavericks on a Dell XPS 8300. The installer starts and hangs showing 22 minutes remaining. No activity in the log while it hangs. I let it sit overnight and there was no progress. I am able to boot back into Mavericks with no problem after stopping the install.
The log stops at the following:
Nov 21 19:27:15 localhost ReportCrash[454]:
Nov 21 19:28:10 localhost opendirectoryd[123]: 454 - Client: 'ReportCrash', exited with 0 session(s), 0 node(s) and 0 active request(s)
Nov 21 19:29:52 localhost OSInstaller[404]: Can not connect to /var/run/systemkeychaincheck.socket: No such file or directory
