Numbering:
I did NOT know that. I figured that it was dumb and only went to e.g. SSDT-1 IFF SSDT.aml existed, and -2 ONLY IFF SSDT-1 existed, etc. so yeah, I will change that.

Only Chameleon and Chimera are dumb like that :)

In the case of patching, then the Haswell brightness fix appears to not be working for me...

Download patchmatic: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-MaciASL-patchmatic.
Extract the 'patchmatic' binary from the ZIP. Copy it to /usr/bin, such that you have the binary at /usr/bin/patchmatic.

In terminal,
Code:
rm -Rf ~/Downloads/RehabMan
mkdir ~/Downloads/RehabMan
cd ~/Downloads/RehabMan
patchmatic -extract

Post contents of Downloads/RehabMan directory (as ZIP).

Also, post ioreg: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html. Please, use the IORegistryExplorer v2.1 attached to the post! DO NOT reply with an ioreg from any other version of IORegistryExplorer.app.

Thanks again for the help, of course I'll probably come back to bug you about how exactly to turn the patch into a REAL patch that I can load/apply in maciasl(using v1.2 as IIRC it was the newest that I could find and IIRC was dependent upon 10.8(or older) SDK which I don't have and don't want mess around with setting up ATM...)

Current builds of MaciASL are available here (read the README): https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-MaciASL-patchmatic

Just an update.

I haven't given up on finishing this, just been busy with other more important projects.

Also, I'll confess to having picked up an HP 450 G1 (4702MQ/8750/8GB SERIOUSLY?! 1 SODIMM -> SINGLE channel?!). The HP is just a MUCH NICER machine from build quality, fit and finish, display, discrete(albeit weak) GPU(for windows/linux ATM), etc.

So my plan is to as a hobby get as much as I can get reasonably done on the g50-70 -> sound/batt/etc. (going to pass on an internal wifi) and then I think that I'll ebay it or something...
