Thank you, I think I'm going to need it, it took me for ever just to install windows 7, for some reason if I set sata to ACHI I can't boot from my dvdr???? Anyone know why? Incompatible dvdr? I managed to work around this by connecting my dvdr to the white gigabyte sata and leaving it as ide, but not sure if this will work for the mac install. I think waht I'll do is try and boot iBoot of a pendrive!

You can enabler AHCI mode in Windows 7 after it's been installed, so I would think you should be able to switch it back to the intel SATA connecter and use AHCI with it.
