Y50-70 got a notification message : external gpu detected

yesterday while i was using first time or second after setup - high sierra ( changed my MB ) got that message , but it went off
what was that ? any ideas ?
"external gpu detected , you need to log off to ...." cant remember exact words but the start was that

yes I did , and everything works fine .
i didnt report that as a fault (problem)
something that might be considered good
