Hello all,
I have recently screwed up my previous 10.9.1 install and have tried to install (clean wipe) 10.9.2 and 10.10 onto my HP xw8600. Both OS's show the same behavior where the system only boots to the grey screen and never beyond that to the log in options. I have found that safemode or nv_disable=1 will let me log in the OS in VESA mode. On 10.10 I've found that bootflag "cpus=1 npci=0x2000" will give me a full screen log in, but once I'm logged in the desktop seems to lock up ever few seconds.
Does anyone have an idea on how to get past this?
Thanks!!!
