Xeon 45nm L3426 is working, but 32nm L3406 is not woked!!

・TDP 30W version of the Xeon 1156 on sale. (17/03/2010)

・TDP 45W at 8 threads running Xeon release, the mother usually works with 1156?(17/10/2009)

SPECS
・Xeon L3406
　2C/4T/L3 4MB/32nm/20652h/Clarkdale/TDP 30W
・Xeon L3426
　4C/8T/L3 8MB/45nm/106E5h/Lynnfield/TDP 45W

REPORTS
・DFI P55-T36(latest BIOS P55MIC31) woking L3426, but not working L3406.　
・MSI P55M-GD45(initial BIOS v1.1 later) working L3426 and L3406.

　L3406 is Clarkdale Core CPU with disabled internal GPU.CPUID Strings is 20652h equal to Clarkdale's Core i5/i3 (etc Core i5-650).so cpu is detected unkown cpu, kernel panic happen on snow loepard 10.6 while booting.

　i use mod kernel with L3406 and P55M-GD45, success to boot on snow leopard.

CPU Xeon L3406(Clarkdale) = Core i5 disabled GPU
M/B MSI P55M-GD45 (BIOS 1.1->1.5)
Memory 16GB(4GBx4)
HDD WDC SATA 120GB
VGA ELZA GLADIAC 998 GT SP 512MB(GeForce 9800 GT GreenEdition)
Power SFX-300W

i use mod 10.6.2 kernel, it's work. S3 sleep & wakeup, shutdown & reboot, network (wired & wiress).

・kernel only run 32bit.
・max memory 4GB.

10.6.3 update success!!,it improve performance of OpenGL, and multi thread control.



・apply the 10.6.3 update, replacing the kernel before you reboot fix
・SleepEnabler was removed once before 10.6.3 update for the swap
・patch codec id of ALC889(0x10ec 0x0885) to AppleHDA.kext
