Hi
This is my second hackintosh build. After reading that some x299 users have got it working I thought I'd give it a go.
I have done some troubleshooting and trial and error but I am stuck at this point.
My build:
Motherboard: MSI X299 Tomahawk
CPU: Intel Core i9-7920X (12 Core)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz DDR4 4x8GB (only 1x8GB installed at the moment)
GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 1080 Ti Armor 11Gb
I am getting the "Couldn't allocate runtime area" error when trying to install Sierra and this is what I have tried so far.
1. Replacing OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi with OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi
2. Replacing the 1080 Ti with a 660 Ti
3. Tried using npci=0x2000 and cpus=1 and safe mode
4. Tried disconnecting my internal ssd
Using OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi gets me past the runtime area error but freezes pretty much instantly at ++++++++++
