wx 7100 shows as 7mb display on 10.13.4

Using a MSI x299 Raider motherboard, and the i7 7800x CPU. Everything is working fine other than not having GPU acceleration. RadeonDelnit doesn't help and the Lilu/Whatevergreen Kexts don't work either. The device ID is in the AMD kexts, but they don't seem to be injecting properly. I tried upgrading to 10.13.5 to see if that fixed it, and it booted to black.

trying to get graphics acceleration to work properly . I enable windows 8.1/10 WHQL support (disabling csm). Under AMI graphic output protocol policy i see "unknown device" and "unknown driver". any idea how to fix that? it won't let me boot with those settings, but without it i get a square display that doesn't go to the edges of my 4k monitor
