Hello I'm in the process of converting my late 2009 iMac to a mid 2011 with a mid 2011 motherboard including an MXM slot. I already ordered all the parts necessary (I hope), and i'm not seeing too much information about the Radeon Pro WX 4150 other than the HP zbook (which this card came out of)

Does it just work or am I in for some massive headache on this one?

Very helpful link thanks!

I have an iMac12,2 27" that I upgraded to a Xeon about 6 months ago, and have been following that thread for some time. I bought an HP WX4150 and never got around to flashing it until last week (did the solder mod as well, page 582). I added an internal 500Gb SSD and swapped the internal 3.5HD to a 2TB. So this completes the journey of upgrades for hardware... Big Sur did install, have not tried Montery yet. The forum pages I found most useful were pages 1, 347, 435, 637, and 643. My High Sierra still requires a momentary external monitor to turn on the LCD, but it works fine under BS. Mine has the 2pipe video card heatsink, no mods needed for the WX4150.

Processor: from i5-2500S @ 2.7GHz to Xeon E3-1245 @ 3.3GHz
RAM: 8gb to 32Gb
HD: 500Gb to 2TB+500SSD
Video: 512 MB Radeon HD 6770M to HP WX4150 4Gb
