cpu: i5-3337u
graphics: HD4000 , 1600x900

Tutorial for Lenovo Yoga 13 osx 10.8.5

Just download the attachment and follow the instructions.

Working:
+Boots off HD into ML
+Display is HD4000, 1600x900
+Audio (in out, + internal mic) with kext replacement (no voodoo needed)
+USB 2.0 port on the right.
+USB 3.0 port at full speed on the left
+touch screen, multitouch
+Lenovo 720p Camera (with kext and Webcam Settings app to adjust/increase gain)
+Sleep
+Battery Management
+HD Audio
+Trackpad
+Keyboard
+Network - wireless – you need to buy EDIMAX EW-7811UN Wireless USB Adapter, 150 Mbit/s, IEEE802.11b/g/n at 9$

Not Working & Known Issues:
-bluetooth
-HDMI Audio
-SD Card Reader (Will not work AFAIK)

-The trackpad experience is still far from the experience you could get on windows 8 or on a macbook air.
- When the wifi adapter is plugged in the usb port, the computer cannot wake from sleep.
-The first time you open a text edit document you need to do it with right click open with text edit, otherwise it won't open. The 2nd documents you can open them simply with double click.
-You can browse appstore but not purchase anything. When you log it it says: Your device or computer could not be verified. Contact support for assistance.
-airdrop can send documents but not receive any. The lenovo yoga remains not visible to regular macbooks or other apple products.

I would be very glad to get complementary information from people who resolved the above issues. Thank you in advance.

Hereunder the tutorial.

For the installation just follow Jack Rupper's Video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwqkwjrfKPY

Complementary information for bios before you start:

bios: set to AHCI for Sata

turn on usb legacy

turn off fast boot

In the bios select EFI boot device

before starting installation delete all the unnecessary graphics drivers from install USB as said in the video.

1: prepare installation key with Unibeast

You need to check

1: Macapp store mountain lion
2:Laptop Support
3: Legacy USB Support (doesn’t do anything)

Follow exactly the install from the video until install mountain included

2: Install mountain lion

first Format DISK

3 PARTITIONS

in master boot record

a) EFI BOOT (1.3 Gb IN FAT 32)
b) MAC OSX system
c) Mac osx back up in my case 30GB

As far as your problem goes... try booting with -x -v flags or do GraphicsEnabler=No and -v.

3: First boot into the OSX system

1st time to reboot from Clover partition from the EFI usb Key

Once you boot into the OSX copy the usb content from EFI Key to the EFI partition created earlier.

After you may install updates if even you want to install any.

instal combo update 10.8.5

don’t restart

launch multibeast check driver>system>

APPLE ACPIP
*10.8.1 Rollback
Patched apple cpuPOWER
*OSX 10.8.5
*APPLE RTC PATCH FOR CMOS

After you can follow number by number the attached folders for finetuning.

Finally
4. Make hdmi out working

enter the following code into the terminal

sudo perl -pi -e 's|\x04\x00\x00\x81.{107}\x04\x00\x66\x01.{108}|\x08\x00\x00\x06\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x02\x00\x11\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x04\x00\x66\x01\x01\x02\x04\x02\x00\x00\x00\x04\x00\x00\x00\x01\x00\x00\x00\x40\x10\x07\x00\x00\x10\x07\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x05\x03\x00\x00\x02\x00\x00\x00\x30\x02\x00\x00\x02\x05\x00\x00\x00\x04\x00\x00\x07\x04\x00\x00\x03\x04\x00\x00\x00\x04\x00\x00\x81\x00\x00\x00\x04\x06\x00\x00\x00\x08\x00\x00\x06\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x02\x00\x11\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00|' /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleIntelFramebufferCapri
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions

after enter password and reboot

it should work as plug and play

just in case if it is needed

How to rebuild kext cache on Mountain Lion 10.8

kext cache rebuild is just a two-step task.

  • sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions/
  • sudo reboot
