Thanks for that. Do you have HDMI audio working too?
If i use the DSDT that i was using for ML with everything working inc hdmi audio edits then Mavericks only works with external screen.

I don't have an HDMI monitor, so I can't tell if it will work or not.
If your original DSDT works for you, I would suggest you to stick to it.
I think our S3s share the spec. And I have to say, Kidman's HD4000 DSDT patch doesn't work on my machine. I don't think it has the right IGPlatformID. Back then, I was using your DSDT without Kidman's HD4000 DSDT while injecting IGPlatformID thru Chimera
Code:
<string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002 010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c000000 4100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066 006f0072006d002d0069006400000008000000030066011400 00006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e62 6f6172642d31</string>

I have injected
Code:
0x03, 0x00, 0x66, 0x01
into your old DSDT, it should now work with the built-in display

also, would you mind sharing your new unlock BIOS?

Thanks for that, i'll give it a try in a mo. I have managed to get my display working with my old DSDT by applying Rehabman's HD4000 low res patch. It works but not sure if it's correctly done!?!

As for hdmi audio, this is what Kidman did to the Appleintelframebuffercapri kext for ML.

"I patched AppleIntelFramebufferCapri in hex:
find: 01000000 02000000 30000000 02050000 00040000 07010000 03040000 00040000 07010000
replace: 05030000 02000000 30000000 02050000 00080000 06000000 00000000 00000000 00000000

05030000 02000000 30000000 // LVDS
02050000 00080000 06000000 // HDMI
"

The same hex doesn't appear in the mavericks kext so i've asked if he can do us an updated version unless that info makes sense to anyone!?

The 1.29 unlocked bios is here https://app.box.com/s/hjqy7phrysw66unxsntm
NOTE: when i first ran it, it looked like the flash app had frozen, but on 2nd attempt and closing the app not responding window, it started to flash and worked ok.

Hi guys! I have spent last 2 days trying to get my acer s3 working with mavericks from scratch. I have come so far that I am actually able to boot into mavericks with working graphic card.

I have basically ucsed unibeast setup and now when I managed to boot up I was goona install multibeast stuff.

First of all, my comp is this one:

ACER S3-391-53314g52add
Intel Core i5-3317U
Intel HD Graphics 4000
Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wi-Fi module
native resolution of 1366x768
This Ivy Bridge processor has a base clock speed of 1.7 GHz and can be Turbo Boosted to 2.4 GHz

So, the commands I use to finally boot this badboy is following:
GraphicsEnabler=No IGPEnabler=Yes IGPlatformID=01660003 dart=0

Now I installed Chimera in multibeast and when booting with harddrive instead of USB-boot I now get kernel panic instantly. I have tried some different commands.

I guess I can USB-boot back to mavericks but what should be my next step when entering mavericks? I downloaded DSDT editor and clicked "extract DSDT" or what the name was and saved the file :)

When I did get wrong in bootup because of wrong arguments it often stopped at bluetoothcontroller etc.

I also believe I have an unsupported wifi-card witch sucks so I probably need a dongle later on

Hoping for some tips here now

PS. Tried using IGPlatformID=01660004 but then I got 4 views in mavericks instead :)

replace: 05030000 02000000 30000000 02050000 00080000 06000000 00000000 00000000 00000000

05030000 02000000 30000000 // LVDS
02050000 00080000 06000000 // HDMI
"

It is because Kidman uses 09006601 connector and we are now using 03006601 connector (Rehabman's HD4000 patch)
However we can patch AppleIntelFramebufferCapri in the same manner,
But instead we will find:
Code:
05030000 02000000 30000000 02050000 00040000 07040000 03040000 00040000 81000000
and replace with:
Code:
05030000 02000000 30000000 02050000 00080000 06000000 00000000 00000000 00000000

We need to see a picture of the verbal boot that you are stuck in. It might be a graphic problem, check if you have a line somewhere state
Code:
 AGPM platform: unknown Platform

I am no expert on this matter but I would like to point out that in order for ig-platform-id: 01660003 to work you need to set your VRAM to 64MB
http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...ad-fyi-only-guide-10-8-how-enable-hd4000.html

"What seems to matter most are port configuration (try ones that match your number of video ports) and RAM settings. It is absolutely crucial here to set your graphics memory size to match your ig-platform-id configuration! So if it says "Stolen RAM for FB: 96MB", set it to 96MB in BIOS. Your graphics memory size is NOT DVMT memory size. Always set DVMT to MAX."

in order to do so, you need a unlocked BIOS. Crunchie has kindly provide a link to the latest unlock BIOS for S3,
Under Video setting, you need to change
IGD - DVMT Pre-Allocated to 64MB
IGD - Aperture Size to 512MB

I've just applied that edit using my original DSDT and..... HDMI audio is working :) :) :) Thankyou!

Now, how did you learn how to do that as I have searched for ages trying to find info on it

My wifi seems to be dead in windows too ( no signal and Fn F3 isn't bringing signal back) so i've ordered a BCM943225HMB so then i should have bluetooth back as well as working wifi and then a fully functioning mavericks setup :)

We are very lucky, from an end user level, most of the work was done by Kidman and Rehabman.
What I did is to compare both Framebuffers and cross-reference the value
Kidman uses connector 09006601 and Rehabman's HD4000 Low Res. uses 03006601
SJ_UnderWater has put together a list of Intel an ATI Framebuffers, http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/112299-apple-intel-amd-ati-framebuffers.html

I think your HDMI audio will now work with your Freshly Patched DSDT as well, you should give it a try

Also for your Wifi, to regain access to your Wifi Card, Do this
go to your BIOS>LOAD DEFAULT CONFIGURATION, then go back and fix your settings (VT-d, VRAM, etc...)SAVE AND EXIT
It has somthing to due with CMOS resetting. Apparently if your machine is shut off during boot it freaks out the BIOS and lost access to the Wifi card. But still, BCM943225HMB is a better card anyway

Aha! Well done ! yep that's brought the wifi back to life!
Next stop then is a bigger SSD! 128gb isn't enough for dual boot!

have you thought of utilizing the onboard SSD 20GB it is easily big enough for any version of windows 7

P.S.
I want to know if your HDMI audio will work with your freshly patched DSDT

My s3-391 came with the 128gb ssd so unfortunately I don't have the 20gb 2nd port. And they skimped and didn't put the port on there, just left the solder pads! The model that came with the HDD and 20gb ssd is lucky that it has both!

I'll try freshly patched DSDT tomorrow, need sleep now!
