Won't shutdown without ejecting external Harddrive

Hey! I've got a Skylake 6700K build on an Asus Maximus Hero VIII, and I feel like i got 2 problem.

1. I need to eject my external for the computer to be able to reboot or shutdown.
2. I feel like if I have my computer on a few days. The usb's become inactive. For example my harddrives get "ejected" wrongly and so on.


Is there anyone that knows what to do about this?

Take a look at Step 7 onwards in this guide. It will allow you to configure your USB ports accurately by creating an SSDT to inject only the ports you use.
