Won't go to sleep with the screen open

Hey there everybody,

I have a laptop happily running Yosemite 10.10.1. It's been running great since 10.9.4, but it's always had a problem going to sleep with the screen open. If the screen is open when it goes to sleep, it immediately wakes back up with reason XHC; if it's closed, it wakes back up for a split second but then stays asleep until I wake it.

My specs:

• Acer Aspire E1-572-6870
• Intel i5-4200u
• Intel HD 4400
• 4GB RAM, 500GB Hard Drive
• Replaced the WiFi adapter with Broadcom BCM943225HMB
• Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet BCM5778
• Realtek ALC282

I have a vanilla Yosemite install with these modifications:

• Clover bootloader (config attached)
• Patched DSDT/SSDT I made myself (attached)
• Patched AppleHDA for sound
• ACPIBacklight.kext, ACPIBatteryManager.kext, ApplePS2ElanTouchpad.kext, BCM5722D.kext (ethernet), and FakeSMC.kext.

What I've tried:

• GenericUSBXHCI.kext - when -gux_nosleep is set, it sleeps like a baby. However, I don't like this option because it makes the system take a long time to shutdown/restart, and sometimes it won't go to sleep or shutdown at all. It's like the operating system has gone to sleep or finished shutting down, but the computer itself didn't get the memo
• Different darkwake options

Also, install GenericUSBXCHI.kext, and use kernel flag -gux_defer_usb2
