If you use gparted, you have to use gptsync (after any gparted edit) to create the hybrid. gparted always edits to pure GPT.

OK thx, I'm not that into ubuntu, but I'll try to find out how to use gptsync and how to fix this issue. Thx for the advice!

That's what I missed!

sudo /cdrom/gptsync /dev/sda
(note: /dev/sda is the target drive)
