Hello,

Any help would be greatly appreciated before I pull the trigger on purchasing these components.

The plan is to have this hackintosh as a FCPX Video Editing Rig in my office.

Current Parts:
- RX 580 8GB Pulse (I heard the pulse is the easiest to install?)
- Gigabite Z390 Gaming X motherboard
- Intel i7 - 9700k
- MX500 1TB SSD
- and other bits, like the CPU fan, 600w PSU etc

Thank you in advance for any help or recommendations

This build should be compatible with MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6 and Mojave.

Thank you! Would you recommend any changes or inefficient choices I've made?

If you want "easy to install", then perhaps a Z370 motherboard will be a bit easier. It seems to be consensus on this forum that a Z370 motherboard is easier than other 300 series motherboards to get going.

Of course, using a Z370 motherboard with a 9th generation CPU like the 9700K you want may require updating the BIOS of the motherboard. A Z390 motherboard will be directly compatible with the 9700K.

Think I'm going to 'downgrade' to an 8700k and a z370 board in order to make my life easier for my first Hackintosh build.

Any specific z370 you'd recommend?
