Hi everyone,

I recently bought parts and made a new machine.

Gigabyte z77 ud5h [rev 1.1, BIOS v. F14]
i7 3770k
Corsair vengeance 2x4gb
Antec Earthwats 750
SanDisk Extreme SSD

Here is my problem:

First, I installed win 8 successfully, after about 5 minutes it starded to reboot, after reboot it would enter windows; after couple of reboots didn't reach windows at all.
I formated the SSD and tried to install win 7. After windows is loading installation files and the screen changes to Starting Windows the debug led on the motherboard changes from AE to A0, then the system restarts, every time,

I tried to change some values in bios:
-Advanced Ram settings - X.M.P. = Profile1
-SATA Mode Selection = AHCI
-XHCI mode = Auto
-XHCI hand-off and EHCI hand-off = enabled
-Wake on Lan = disabled
-HPET = enabled
-Soft-off by pwr-buttn = delay 4 seconds
-Disabled the CPU C3/C6 State

Nothing changed with or without these changes.

From Hirens BootCD, I tried MemTest, no error; mini WinXP is starting.

Tried Ubuntu CD, it was rebooting for about 7 times before reached the install, and installed successfuly.
After 10 minutes, after 5-6 crashing reboots, the things went on the same road like first Windows installation.

I want to install Win 7 on it.

Can anyone please help me ?

Windows 8 sure is fun !
I have had similar problems.
MS Support confirmed it modifies boot ROM and puts tag in there.
Any info on this site is geared towards dual booting on one HD or links to W7 solutions.
Since my contact with MS revolved around rescuing a failed W8 install dual booting info was peripheral.
They did seem to suggest you will not be able to downgrade.
Tried to install XP and W8 Preview and got boot oooo.... error.
I have no problem using F12 to get it to work in dual boot situation.
My main worry is it hosing OS X.
Special note once you install W8 it is wielded to that motherboard.
You can not install it on anything else.

If someone has other info that is different I welcome it.
