I copied the motherboard the RAM and CPU and the HDD from Elric Phrase
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvHm_zGAMvM
so basically i'm a big copy cat but i don't know what to put into a Mac since i don't know the hardware for what to put into a hackintosh
I did get an alternate SSD for the computer for the price
I was also wondering if the SSD would affect the MAC OS if i used the gigabyte boards Intel Smart Response Technology to enable acceleration on the SSD to use it as Cache for the Windows HDD
(if it will have a problem with the partitioned space, or if it will try to use it for Cache as well)

I'm not sure about the optical drive. Better to change it to a Sony Optiarc 72xx.

The rest is perfect.

AMD HD7xxx series are not supported at the moment. No ETA. ;)

it will, but if you thing the Sony Optiarc 72xx is better than sure i'll see of changing to it

You can purchase the Crucial M4 256GB for 214 dollars then that OCZ.

your build is very similar to mine

everything will work, but change the optical drive to a Sony Optiarc, it works better with sleep
get the 6870, i have one and it's great :headbang:
the 7850 isn't supported yet

no problems with the SSD, i have myself a OCZ Vertex 3 120GB and it works like a beast
i think that Intel Smart Response doesn't work with OS X
use the SSD as boot drive and to store programs, put stuff in the 1TB drive, i do that

Thank you rrapidoo was really worried about the SSD  :D
and i'll probably switch to the sony optiarc than since you and Mate94 both said it was better. :geek:

is the 7850 going to be compatible later on though?

one last question, i know the build will work better with an ivy bridge processor, but is it worth the hassle and will the 3770k work with my board?

now that Mountain Lion is out

Now that Mountain Lion is now out I've been reading some forums and articles on compatibility which seem to been having some problems with certain boards I'm just checking if everything I have is still good to go with the Mountain Lion OS X also if the Radeon 7xxx will be able to run on the Mountain Lion OS X.

Also if the way to install Mountain Lion OS X is different from Lion OS X i haven't heard anything on the installation process

if you guys can help me choose between

or

i can't decide on one and i'm getting a little annoyed
(the case is probably going to be a COOLER MASTER HAF 932 Advanced RC-932-KKN5-GP Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case with USB 3.0, Black Interior and Four Fans-1x ...)
airflow should be good i'm just not sure if the extra fans on the memory will help it out any
