Will I have a problem:? ADC24" & HD5770 Vapor-X 1GB

I really didn't think about what I have and just picked up ADC 24" with mini display port connection.
Just realized that my Sapphire HD5770 Vapor-X 1GB does NOT have mini display port when I tried to plug it in. Bummer.....

So I search and found there is a mini display port female adapter to DP on line. So Instead of getting a new graphic card with MDP, I decided to give that a try.

Then I see something about ADC and HD57XX not working. Is using such adapter that I bought not going to work? is it better for me to sell my card and get a new one with MDP?

I'm on 10.8.1 and GE=Yes get full functionality with my card. (using velvet framebuffer)

Advise me what to do.

Found an answer myself.

I received the miniDP to DP adapter, hooked it up to my ADC 24" to HD5770 to DP port. It doesn't work. Nothing coming out of the screen.
No bios screen, not even on Windows.

Just ordered XFX HD6870 recommended by Injectx.
