Wifi card

Hey guys i got a hp probook 4540s which has 10.9 installed i haven't used it for about some months now, realize the wifi card isn't working {checked with windows as well} wanted to upgrade to yosemite.

Compatible Wifi card

Here is the list of recommended compatible wifi cards:
- HP Probook 4x30s: HP-branded Atheros AR5B195
- HP Probook 6x60b/5330m, HP Elitebook 8x60p/2x60p: HP-branded Broadcom 43224HMS (582564-001/582564-002)
- Other laptop:

• WIFI ONLY: Atheros AR9280/9285, Broadcom 4322/43224 (better OS X feature support)
• WIFI + BT: AR5B195 (not recommended), Broadcom 43225HMB/4352HMB (better OS X feature support)

Didn't see the card i'm looking at.. will it work or not?

That's because it is not supported by OS X. If it was supported, it would be listed.

Oh well I'm seeing this one on the list. but on the info on amazon " Can NOT be used on HP/Compaq/IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad"

Im a bit confuse because the card which don't work anymore is a atheros should i get the same one?

The 4540s does not have a whitelist in BIOS.
