Which Gigabyte Z68 motherboard to buy?

Hi guys! I have a great dilemma. I want to buy a MacOSX Lion compatible motherboard but I am confused a little bit.

• GA-Z68A-D3-B3 (rev. 1.0)

• GA-Z68X-UD3-B3 (rev. 1.0)

• GA-Z68X-UD3R-B3 (rev. 1.0)

• GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3 (rev. 1.0)

• GA-Z68X-UD4-B3 (rev. 1.0)

• GA-Z68X-UD5-B3 (rev. 1.0)

These motherboards dont have VGA onboard. I have an HD5870 gpu already so I guessed that I wouldnt buy a motherboard with onboard VGA on it..right?

Which one do you prefer and why?

thats what i wanted to find out.
whatever his answer, i have a feeling its going to be silly.

you can use any of the boards listed just fine.
i too dont want vga/dvi ports on my board, as i use a gfx card.
pick one in your list based on price/looks/features.

if i had to choose one, id say the ud5, as it can be picked up pretty cheaply in the UK

Thank you samisnake! that's what I wanted to know. If those motherboards are compatible and ready for Mac OS X Lion.

I guess I'm not gonna go with UD5.. Its quite expensive here in Greece (295 euros or so..)

I think Im gonna buy the UD4..

I think all of these boards are very similar right?

yes they are all similar.

there will be slight differences between them, eg. the number of usb ports etc.
the main difference between them as you go up the line (ud3, ud4, ud5 etc) is the power phase count and which 'special' features they come with.

You might also have a closer look which of those boards of your choice is without VLI-hubs for USB 3.0 if you wish/need to use it.
The VLI hubs are not supported.
