I'm getting ready to do an install on a i7 2600 based system with a ATI 6870 installed. Do I use Chameleon r748 - ATI Experimental, or r709 - Sandy Bridge?

sandy bridge - the reason behind this choice is that the new ati drivers that are part of 10.6.7 have nothing to do with the chameleon implementation (they work regardless), but you need the sandy bridge version of chameleon as it's the only version with appropriate system definitions for the i5/i7 sandy bridge machines (otherwise they get detected as something like core solos, etc.)

Ahh great, thanks for the reply. So between the SB Chameleon, the official Kernel support, and the new ATI Kexts, the problems I had when I tried setting up a SB system in late Jan/early February should be resolved. I'll be able to boot into 64 bit, use more than 4gb of ram, etc?
