There are probably threads in the forum that would answer my questions, but couldn’t find any specific ones that would be a big help.

Looking to build a CustoMac.

So which barebones desktops do I look to buy? Which motherboard would I need?

This site seems very helpful but doesn’t show any motherboards with dual processor capability. https://www.tonymacx86.com/buyersguide/building-a-customac-hackintosh-the-ultimate-buyers-guide/

Which desktops can several storage drives be installed, much like an early 2008 MacPro?

Looking to put a pair of i9 processors in it, such as the i9-10900K

https://ark.intel.com/content/www/u...0900k-processor-20m-cache-up-to-5-30-ghz.html

But will the desktop have the adequate cooling ability for such processors?

Which desktop can handle at least 32GB ram and GPU(S) with at least 6GB ram?

Currently have a number of 2008 MacPros with 32GB ram and a pair of 3.2Ghz quad cores in them. They work okay with X-Plane 10 but pixelate when running X-Plane 11 Demo.

Unsure what the recommended specs will be for X-Plane 12 & 13. Not interested in building a new computer every 4 years to meet Flight Sim specs.

The recommended specs for 11 are here. https://www.x-plane.com/kb/x-plane-11-system-requirements/

Plan on running Catalina or Big Sur.

Don’t know if a Mac Pro 7,1 would handle demands, but I’ll be keeping the $22,000 in my pocket. :)) https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mac-Pro-7-1-2019-2-5GHz-28-Core-768GB-RAM-Radeon-Pro-Vega-II-32GB-2TB/164438909042?hash=item

Also if you'd be fine with a dual system, here are some options:

Gigabyte VISION G or VISION D as the main ATX system
ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming ITX/TB3 as the secondary system

Phanteks Enthoo Pro 2 or Phanteks Enthoo 719 as the case

Phanteks Revolt X 1200W as the PSU

and other stuff from my previous comment.

Also for building a computer, I'd recommend these videos:

Before:
JayzTwoCents' video on common PC building mistakes and also his video of common PC myths
JayzTwoCents' video on cable management
JayzTwoCents' video on AIO orientation (easier to understand and not as boring as GamersNexus' video)

During
Bitwit's video of how to build a computer

After
JayzTwoCents' video on what to do after building your computer
