what reasons could there be for sudden freezes in yosemite?

just built my first hackintosh, so i'm a bit of a newbie.

my yosemite freezes just suddenly every once in a while. No pattern or anything. Everything freezes even the mouse.

What different reasons and solutions could there be for this?

I used unibeast and multibeast.

in multibeast i did the DSTfree option.
only extra I picked was intel ethernet drivers and audio.
oh and I had some issues getting it to boot by itself, so I did this part also: http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-help/115818-install-bootloader-extra-efi-partition.html

my setup is this:
Sapphire Radeon R9 280x, 3gb
Crucial BallistiX Tactical 16GB
Kingston SSDnow 120gb SSD
Gigabyte GA-z97-D3Hr
Intel Core i7 4790K 4,0GHz
