What motherboard choose?

Hello friends, I am new to the forum and I come to ask you for help.

I need a hackintosh for musical study, should feature a twin apollo (thunderbolt), I am torn between these two motherboard:


ASRock Z87 Extreme4 / TB4


Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD7TH


The Asrock has half the Gigabyte cost, which you recommend? an alternative?

If this is your first CustoMac build go with the Gigabyte, you won't regret it.

I've seen that two members of the board have succeeded with the 2 motherboards

The price difference is very large, there is a problem if you used the asrock? with the asrock installed Maverick, Yosemite work?

Those two posts are very limited in their descriptions of what they actually did to get the
system working. They also do not mention what is not working. With the Gigabyte T.Bolt
board at least you'll have better documentation to follow or be able to ask specific questions
and get a response. If you can still get the Z87 version of the Gigagbyte board there is a
very detailed and long thread you can use as a reference.
