What is the regular boot volume

Hey guys. I’m having some early success with my first Hackintosh, but I have a few fundamental questions.

It is not clear to me whether or not I should always boot from the USB drive when starting up the system. I was working to install the Nvidia drivers and accidentally installed clover on my SSD. Now I can load the clover boot screen from both my SSD and my USB. I don’t know if this is an accident, or the ultimate goal. The Clover load screens look different to.

ultimate goal is to boot the machine without a usb stick and use the machine as you would using windows

so yes, you did correct in installing clover to hard drive

I have seen three differently designed Clover boot screens. Are these associated with different versions of Clover? Can you shed some light on them?

First version looked like this:

After installing Clover on my boot SSD to try to get the NVIDIA drivers, it looked like this:

At some point around the same time, I was getting a snowy holiday theme that I can't find a screen shot of.

you may have "random" theme selected which will show random themes from your themes folder
